It was bound to happen...

MUSIC UP: Onward Christian Soldiers (instrumental)

SF/X: Sounds of a Klan cross-burning

SF/X: Crowd sounds of a revival meeting
ANNOUNCER: "This march is brought to you by Bigotra...the pill that helps you "get it on" for your cause!"

Like I was bound to happen.

A radio station, owned by Clear Channel (gee, now there's a surprise!), in Raleigh, NC is sponsoring a "Heterosexual Pride Parade".

In what I can only presume is an attempt to deflect criticism by portraying the event as an unbiased family(-values)-friendly event, they have the following statement on the webpage:
We would LOVE for you to make your own celebratory sign/t-shirt/display showing your heterosexual pride!! Just keep it positive and DON'T MENTION OR MAKE FUN OF ANY OTHER GROUP! The idea is a fun, positive heterosexual pride!
The picture above is an example of the "positive" merchandise that the station is flogging in support of the event.

And the right-wing says that we gays throw our sexuality in their faces?

I hope it rains (very hard) in Raleigh on Saturday...
